Workday: Tuesday, May 20, 2025
Hello ATA Volunteers,
It’s a big day for the ATA this Tuesday! We received permission to move forward with the new alignment at Curtz Lake, so we will meet there at 8:00 am and work until noon on this segment which will replace the trail damaged by the fire and restoration work. We expect construction to take at least two full workdays but if we get extra turnout, who knows? We are all looking forward to getting this 1 mile loop back in service, even if it takes a little longer to get all the interpretive signs replaced.
Please come out and join us for this exciting step in our post Tamarack Fire restoration work. Craig, Jane, and Clay will be your leaders for the day. All work is within 1/4 mile of parking. Dogs need to be well behaved in this project area.
Please RSVP “Reply to All” if you plan to attend any workday. Be aware, personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for all ATA workdays. Volunteers must wear long sleeves and pants, closed toe shoes, gloves, sunglasses and hardhats. We provide the tools, hardhats, instruction, trained safety personnel and equipment. Please bring food and water to last the workday. A backpack for carrying food, water, and supplies is recommended. No late arrivals please and if you wish to leave early you will need a partner and your own transportation. Dogs are allowed only on days where the crew leaders feel it is appropriate – see pre-event email for details. —
