Rare Saturday Workday!
Hello ATA Volunteers,
To beat the summer heat, which is only weeks away, we are squeezing in an extra workday this weekend, Saturday June 14th, 8:00 am to 12:00 noon at Desolation Hotels in Hope Valley. Please meet at the gate just west of the resort. It will be a max 1.5 mile hike in doing general maintenance focusing on water flow management and light brushing.
This is a nice cool hike with lots of shade.
If the weather holds and winds calm down we will head to Thornburg Canyon Trail this coming Tuesday the 17th. A separate email will be sent with further details.
Please RSVP “Reply to All” if you plan to attend any workday. Be aware, personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for all ATA workdays. Volunteers must wear long sleeves and pants, closed toe shoes, gloves, sunglasses and hardhats. We provide the tools, hardhats, instruction, trained safety personnel and equipment. Please bring food and water to last the workday. A backpack for carrying food, water, and supplies is recommended. No late arrivals please and if you wish to leave early you will need a partner and your own transportation. Dogs are allowed only on days where the crew leaders feel it is appropriate – see pre-event email for details. —
