Tuesday, September 23, 2025 Workday

Hello Alpine Trails Association Volunteers,

After a very successful first day on the trails last week at Desolation Hotels-HV, this week we are moving up into the high country of Blue Lakes Rd. and Thornburg Canyon Trail. Carpool will meet at 8:30 on the Woodfords frontage Rd. Across from the old tow yard. We will do sign-ins there and then get up to the Thornburg Canyon Trailhead 9 miles up Blue Lakes Rd. by 9:00 am where we will continue sign-ins and the pre-event checklist

We will work our way down the trail approximately 1.5 miles doing basic trail maintenance including some brushing, clearing tread, and improving drainage. We plan to return to parking at Blue Lakes Rd. by 1:00 pm so bring plenty of food and water to get you through. Dogs are allowed on this workday but you are responsible for making sure they don’t pose a danger to our crew.
