Tuesday, June 30th Workday
Hi Volunteers,
We’re going to try to get enough people together for a trip down Thornburg Canyon Trail this Tuesday. Meet at the Woodfords Frontage rd at 7:00 am to catch a ride up Blue Lakes Rd. to start our day.
We need some driver volunteers too, both morning and afternoon. Afternoon drivers need to be able to make it up Sawmill Rd. to the eastern trailhead to pick up our crew around 4:00 pm.
Just like last Tuesday RSVP is essential for this trip because we need at least 6 workers, and two drivers for each shift. Last week we only had one person confirmed to work. This week we already have four certified cross-cut sawyers confirmed, so a couple more volunteers, plus some drivers and we’re good to go.
This workday will wrap up our spring season. After our Picnic in the Park on July 18th we’ll get back out to the upper elevations for a few summer workdays.
Thanks everyone.
Please RSVP “Reply to All” if you plan to attend any workday. Be aware, personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for all ATA workdays. Volunteers must wear long sleeves and pants, closed toe shoes, gloves, sunglasses and hardhats. We provide the tools, hardhats, instruction, trained safety personnel and equipment. Please bring food and water to last the workday. A backpack for carrying food, water, and supplies is recommended.
