Workday Tuesday May 6th 2025

Hello Volunteers,

This Tuesday, May 6th we will meet at Grover campground overflow parking at 8:00 am. We have two options depending on turnout. Option 1, high turnout. 1.75 mile hike to marshy zone on Charity Valley Trail to construct rock causeway. Option 2, low turnout. 1 mile hike to explore options for trail to Grover Waterfall, clarify best route, and obscure dead end routes. Both options return to parking between 12:00-1:00.

Let park employee at the campground kiosk know you are with ATA to get entrance to parking.

RSVP may help us clarify choice prior to workday so please “Reply to All” to this email if you plan on attending. Both sites are good for dogs, but leash or verbal command is needed inroute through State Park property.

Please RSVP “Reply to All” if you plan to attend any workday. Be aware, personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for all ATA workdays. Volunteers must wear long sleeves and pants, closed toe shoes, gloves, sunglasses and hardhats. We provide the tools, hardhats, instruction, trained safety personnel and equipment. Please bring food and water to last the workday. A backpack for carrying food, water, and supplies is recommended. No late arrivals please and if you wish to leave early you will need a partner and your own transportation. Dogs are allowed only on days where the crew leaders feel it is appropriate – see pre-event email for details.
