Hello ATA Volunteers,

Our first workday for the season will be this Tuesday, April 28, weather permitting. We will work on the Desolation Hotel-Hope Valley Trail. Our goal will be to concentrate on removal of over thirty downed trees. This project will more than likely take two workdays to complete.  We would like to see as many of our certified sawyers attend this project as possible. We will also need our other ATA volunteers to help with various other duties such as swamping and lopping. The hike will be less than one mile each direction.

Please meet at 9am at the Pony Express parking area, a couple hundred yards west of the Mad Dog Cafe on the frontage road in Woodfords. We can carpool to the Trailhead. We will finish up around 12 noon, and have everyone back to their cars before 1:00 pm.

Thanks!

Please RSVP “Reply to All” if you plan to attend any workday. Be aware, personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for all ATA workdays. Volunteers must wear long sleeves and pants, closed toe shoes, gloves, sunglasses and hardhats. We provide the tools, hardhats, instruction, trained safety personnel and equipment. Please bring food and water to last the workday. A backpack for carrying food, water, and supplies is recommended. No late arrivals please and if you wish to leave early you will need a partner and your own transportation. —-
